Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, on Wednesday, after undergoing angioplasty. The latest development comes two days after the procedure, which was performed on August 17.
Nadda was initially evaluated at AIIMS after experiencing uneasiness. According to the hospital’s earlier health update, he underwent tests including coronary angiography on the evening of August 13, 2026, and was subsequently admitted to the Department of Cardiology for observation.
On August 17, Nadda underwent angioplasty at AIIMS. Following the procedure, the hospital said that his condition was stable and that he remained under observation in the cardiology department.
The latest update confirms that Nadda has now been discharged from AIIMS on August 19. The hospital has not publicly disclosed detailed medical information about the procedure, and no further clinical details should be inferred beyond the official updates.
The Union Health Minister’s discharge marks the latest step in his recovery following the cardiac procedure.
