Checking Medicine Prices and Filing Complaints Gets Easier as NPPA Merges Two Digital Portals

Citizens can now verify the government-approved prices of medicines and lodge complaints about overpricing through a single digital platform, following the integration of the Pharma Jan Samadhan and Pharma Sahi Daam portals by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA). The move aims to simplify access to medicine price information and strengthen consumer grievance redressal. 

Earlier, the two services operated through separate web portals, although they were already connected at the mobile app level. With the latest integration, users can now access both medicine price verification and complaint registration through one unified interface available on the Pharma Sahi Daam portal and mobile application.

The Pharma Sahi Daam platform enables consumers to check the prices of both scheduled and non-scheduled medicines, helping them ensure that medicines are not being sold above government-approved limits. Pharma Jan Samadhan, meanwhile, provides a mechanism for reporting issues such as overpricing and other medicine pricing-related grievances. 

According to NPPA, the unified platform is designed to offer a more transparent, user-friendly and efficient digital experience. It is expected to improve public awareness, reduce duplication of services, encourage citizen participation and ensure faster resolution of complaints related to medicine pricing. 

The authority has urged consumers to use the integrated platform to verify medicine prices before purchasing drugs and to report any suspected pricing violations directly through the portal or app. Officials say the initiative supports the government’s vision of strengthening digital governance while improving access to affordable medicines.
