Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the government will establish fast-track courts to ensure speedy trials and strict punishment in paper leak cases. Emphasising the importance of protecting students’ futures, the Prime Minister said that anyone involved in compromising the integrity of examinations would face swift legal action.
In a statement shared on social media, PM Modi said the welfare and future of the country’s youth remain the government’s highest priority. He noted that the decision to create fast-track courts is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the examination system and safeguard the interests of students.
The Prime Minister also directed the concerned departments and authorities to take all necessary measures for the early implementation of the decision. According to him, these special courts will help ensure that those found guilty in paper leak cases receive strict punishment without unnecessary delays.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to students, PM Modi stated that no individual attempting to jeopardise the future of the nation’s youth would escape accountability. He described the move as another important step towards maintaining transparency and restoring confidence in the examination process.
Ready to talk at Preferred Place
The Central Government on Thursday renewed its offer to hold talks with students protesting over alleged NEET examination irregularities, saying discussions can take place at a venue chosen by the protesters. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said the government has sent four formal invitations to student representatives since Wednesday afternoon and remains open to dialogue “at any place and any time.” He added that meetings can be held either at Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda’s office or residence, stressing that the government is committed to resolving students’ concerns through constructive discussions and is not allowing “prestige” to become an obstacle.
